Shane & The Money Makers
These guys have the playbook down pat. A whole lotta fun.
Robert K. Oermann - Music Row Jan. 2005
Shane and the Money Makers are one of Nashville's hardest working bands. They rock the house everywhere they go with gutsy blues-based rock. Shane is a superb guitarist and strong vocalist. This group is a no-frills groovin' trio filled out by veteran aces Gary Kubal on drums and Lenny Grasso on bass and vocals.
Shake - Summer 2004
These regular Nashville club giggers have recorded a live CD. The title tune sums up their funk-a-delic approach. The stuttering "raunch" guitar, steady backbeat and thumping bass groove work for me.
Robert K. Oermann - Music Row Jan. 2001
Shane & The Moneymakers - The popular local electric-blues power trio will be offering up their fatty-but-filling helpings of standards and originals .....
Critics Picks - NASHVILLE SCENE - May 10,2001
They are excellent at classic blues, rock, and other varieties of danceable groove music. Shane is a top notch guitarist and singer.
ROCK & READ April 2000
Nashville blues/rocker Shane Douglas is a guitarist that has been known for his hard work around town for years.
THE NASHVILLE MUSIC GUIDE: Music & Blues Corner
This is a no nonsense, straight to the bone album. Recorded live, it shows off a trio that plays roadhouse blues-based rock & roll without gadgets, tape foolery, overdubs or anything else that might possibly get in the way of how totally honest three musicians can deliver the word.
Rock n Read Feb. 2001
SHANE & THE MONEY MAKERS LIVE captures their raucous three piece throw-down sound, a party fo show.
Nashville Music Guide Feb. 2001
This is Nashville’s hardest working roadhouse blues band. We danced all night, you shouldn’t be allowed to have this much fun on a weeknight.
Music City Blues Letter
I love the live CD. Can't stop playing it. I'd love to get a guitar lesson from you. Seeing you guys play was the highlight of my trip to Tennessee.
Paul Phillips
Shane and the Moneymakers are the quintessential raw blues trio, playing both originals and standards. I would file them under "Must See" for any connoisseur of true rootsy blues music.
